STAT3 binds to lncRNA promoters to upregulate their expression, forming a STAT3/lncRNA/miRNA positive feedback loop. In tumor cells, STAT3 upregulates lncRNA expression, such as CASC9 and LOXL1-AS1, and SNHG16, by binding to their promoter. Subsequently, the lncRNAs relieve the inhibition of miRNAs (such as miR-519d, miR-515-5p, and miR-106b-5p) on STAT3 by adsorbing them, thereby restoring the expression of STAT3, forming a STAT3/lncRNA/miRNA positive feedback loop, and promoting the occurrence and development of tumors
