FFA1-mediated ERK1/2 phosphorylation is not dependent on growth factor receptor-involved transactivation. Serum-starved FFA1-HEK293 cells were pretreated with DMSO and (a) EGFR-selective receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor typhostin AG1478 (100 nM), (b) MMP inhibitor GM6001 (10 μM), or (c) Src-family tyrosine kinase inhibitor PP2 (10 μM) for 1 h. The cells were then stimulated with 10 μM LA for the indicated time. The data shown are representative of at least three replicate independent experiments. Error bars represent the SEM for three replicates. Data were analyzed using Student’s t-test
