Flavonoid effect on cell viability. Cell viability in the presence of genistein (a), luteolin (b), quercetin (c) and quercetagetin (d) was evaluated using the MTT assay. H9c2 cells were treated with flavonoid (10 nM −10 μM) for 24, 48 and 72 h. Quercetagetin reduced cell viability at the highest concentration at 24 and 48 h without significant difference. No other flavonoid modified cell viability. The results are expressed as means ± SEM from at least three independent assays
