A10 cells were treated with 800 μmol/l of H2O2 for 24 h. Cell apoptosis was assayed using an Annexin V-PE/7-AAD Apoptosis Detection Kit, and detected using FACS. In the dot plots, the lower left quadrant indicates a live cell population, the lower right quadrant indicates an early apoptotic cell population, and the upper right quadrant indicates a late apoptotic or dead cell population. H2O2-induced cell apoptosis was significantly attenuated in A10 cells infected with LVUTHspb1 compared with A10 cells infected with LVUTEGFP (*p < 0.001). The rate of apoptosis showed no significant difference between the non-infected control and LVUTEGFP (n = 3)
